Hruby, Lillian K. age 93, of Faribault, formerly of Lonsdale, MN passed away peacefully on January 4, 2014. Lillian was born on April 28, 1920 to Frances (Sevcik) and James Hruska. She grew up on a farm in rural Lonsdale where she attended a nearby country school and the Lonsdale Catholic School. She was united in marriage to Frank Hruby Jr. on August 2, 1937. They lived in Lonsdale until 1964 when they moved to Lake Mazaska in Shieldsville, MN. Frank was a fireman, councilman, manager of the grain elevator and also mayor at one time. They enjoyed banquets and conventions together. She also enjoyed going along with her husband as he played with the Roman Rezac and Paul’s Little Band. Lillian was an excellent homemaker, cook, and baker. She loved her church and took part in all bazaars and soup suppers and was also active in the Eagles Auxiliary for many years. She worked at Munsing Wear, Green Giant, Hy-Vee bakery, Pleasant Manor and Rison Homes.
Lillian is survived by her children, Delores Hruby of Faribault, Judy Hennen of Burnsville, and Ken Hruby and Maureen Nelson of Faribault; brother Jim (Bobbie) Hruska; sister-in-law Mary Hruska, and brother-in-law Edward Hruby; grandchildren Ricky, Sandy, Wendy, Sarah, Shelly and Shawn; great grandchildren Mallory, Leah, Laura, Andrew, Elizabeth, Hannah, Maxwell, Madelyn, and baby Myles (Milos); and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank; sisters, Marcy Hennes, Alice (Robert) Bruzek; brothers Arthur (Stella), and Richard Hruska.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Friday, January 10,2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale with visitation from 9 to 10:45AM at the White Funeral Home, 2015th Ave., Lonsdale (507 744 2368).
