Nino Niederreiter scored the lone goal of the shootout in the fourth round as the Wild notched a 2-1 win over the Kings in Los Angeles. Niederreiter also had Minnesota’s lone goal of regulation, scoring almost three-and-a-half minutes into the third period. Minnesota has won three straight after a six-game slide. The Wild are in Phoenix tomorrow.
Five Wild Players On Olympic Rosters
Five Wild players will compete in the Sochi Winter Olympics next month. Mikko Koivu and Mikael Granlund were named to Finland’s roster yesterday. Zach Parise and Ryan Suter were already named to the USA roster, while Nino Niederreiter will play with Switzerland. The Olympics start February 6th with men’s ice hockey beginning February 12th.
