Anton “Tony” W. Zweber, age 90 of Belle Plaine died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at
the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday,
March 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m, Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4-8 p.m, Kolden Funeral Home, Belle
Plaine, MN. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m.
until Mass time. Burial will be with Military Honors on Monday, March 24, 10:00 a.m.
at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate
Tony was born on December 2, 1923 to Alex and Odelia (Rademacher) Zweber in
New Market Township east of New Prague, MN. He attended country Schools and
graduated from Lakeville High School in 1941. He soon entered the United States Army
serving during World War II. Following his discharge from the service he attended
and graduated from the University of Minnesota receiving a Bachelor Degree from the
Agricultural School. He married Martha Koenig on September 8, 1949 at St. John’s
Catholic Church in Union Hill, MN. Tony worked a short time with Green Giant before
working for Minnesota Valley Breeders for several years. He then farmed for a short
time before beginning a long career with New York Life Insurance Co. Over the years
Tony was very active in other business opportunities over the years. His passion was
truly his work with New York Life Insurance Company and the families he served.
Tony is survived by his wife Martha.

29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
