Margaret C. Smith, age 85 of Lake Washington and formerly of Henderson, passed

away on March 29, 2014 at Mayo Health System Hospital in Mankato. Mass of

Christian Burial will be at 11a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Church of the Immaculate

Conception of Marysburg. Fr. Allan Paul Eilen will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-

8p.m. on Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will continue one

hour prior to the service at the Church in Marysburg on Tuesday morning. Interment will

take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Henderson.

Marge was born in Montgomery on April 30, 1928 to Frank and Cecelia (Simek) Jirik.

On January 24, 1953, she married Harold W. Smith at the Incarnation Catholic Church

in Minneapolis. They lived in White Bear Lake for many years before moving to

Henderson in 1974 where they owned and operated Henderson Drug & Pharmacy until

Harold passed away in 1997. Marge was an active member of St. Joseph’s in Henderson,

serving on the parish council, liturgy committee, C.C.W., and taught Sunday school for

many years. Marge has spent the last 16 years at her home on Lake Washington where

she enjoyed spending time with neighbors, family and friends. Marge was active in the

Marysburg Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her

parents, husband and 2 brothers, Charlie and Frank Jirik.

She is survived by her children,

Siblings, Leonard Jirik of St. Peter, Mary (Jerry) Griffin of Rochester, Katie Adamek of

Burnsville,
