She was active in many activities throughout her life: Boy Scout Leader, Brownie Leader, Trustee and Board member at Lydia UMC, New Prague School Board Member, as well as an active parent in numerous school activities.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather and inspiration, James Dewey Waites, and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Lynn; her children, J. Gregory (Kimberly) of Wichita, KS, Kim Berg of Arlington, TX, and Michael (Joan) of Eden Prairie, MN; her grandchildren, Jared and Logan Berg of Arlington, TX, and Daniel Anderson of Eden Prairie, MN; her siblings, Marie (Lamar) Wheeler of Cantonment, FL and John (Joy) Maynard of Pensacola, FL; one aunt, Margie Waites of Tallassee, AL; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating JoBeth’s life will be held Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at Lydia Zion United Methodist Church in Lydia, MN, with Tony Derhaag officiating. Visitation will be at the same location at 10 a.m.
