LONSDALE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PRESENTS CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS, Saturday, November 29 located across from Whistle Stop. Events begin at 6:30PM with Living Nativity, Christmas tree lighting, Mikulas' re-enactment, refreshments, treats, horse drawn wagon rides, visit Santa.

THE MINNESOTA RIVER AREA AGENCY ON AGING, INC. will be assisting Medicare beneficiaries with their 2009 Medicare Part D research and enrollment. Trained volunteers will be available in LeSueur on December 17 from 10-1PM at the LeSueur Public Library. Bring current insurance information, Medicare card and medications.

COUNTRY STYLE BREAKSFAST November 30, 9-12PM. Serving scrambled eggs with ham, fried potatoes, pancakes, sweet rolls and beverages. Adults $7, children 3-12 $3.50 and free for 3 and under. Located at St. Scholastica Parish in Heidelberg.

CHRISTMAS IN THE VALLEY will take place at the LeSueur Museum and Ottawa Town Hall on Saturday, December 6 from 1-4PM. The museum will feature Carol Anderson's lighted, musical village of 25 buildings, Mary Lou Lindstrom's 17 room dollhouse, and old time decorated Christmas trees and rooms. Children can make a simple pioneer toy. A carol sing a long with Art and Barb Straub at the pump organ will be held from 1-2PM. Cider, coffee and cookies willk complete the event. The decorated museum will also be open on Saturdays in November from 1-4PM. Drew and Dawn Campbell will host a sing a long a the Ottawa Town Hall at 2PM. The newly replaced 1910 stage curtain will be unvailed as a 150th MN Birthday event at 3PM and historic Ottawa photos and artifacts will be provided by Steve Alinder and the Ottawa Historians.
